CA has formally announced the launch of its newest security product; CA Gateway Security r8.1.  This is a major revision of the previous product Secure Content Manager (SCM).  CA Gateway Security is a spam and URL filtering solution focused on the small, mid-size and enterprise business organizations. A couple of the newest updates to the solution are that it now blocks spam at the early stage of SMTP, way before bandwidth and storage data is accepted.  Also, there is an end user management feature that offers the user to quarantine emails, create personal white lists, report false positives all from within the Outlook client.  This feature takes the tedious task of managing everyone's inbox and allows the end user to manage their inbox while still maintaining control through global allow/deny lists.  Supported system platforms and system requirements have been updated as well.
