The Plug-In Manager is a framework included in OfficeScan that integrates new solutions into the existing environment. Some native OfficeScan Features, like Trend Micro Virtual Desktop Support and OfficeScan Data Protection, are licensed separately and activated through the Plug-in Manager. Other plug-in programs, like Intrusion Defense Firewall and Trend Micro Mobile Security, are not part of OfficeScan and are managed from their own consoles.

Plug-In's may be downloaded from the corresponding buttons in the P-I M tab, and then installed accordingly. Click 'Manage Program' to launch the Plug-In. Here, you can configure settings and perform tasks such as client-side agent deployment. For example, the Intrusion Defense Firewall allows you to set and customize security profiles, report and alert settings.

If an upgrade is available via Trend Micro ActiveUpdate, then you will have the option to download and install in much the same way that you installed the initial plug-in.
